Learning Outcomes & Relevant Standards
There are many skills to learn how to play a stringed instrument successfully. Here are the individual learning outcomes and standards that guide the curriculum in orchestra:
1. Body Posture: Students will play their instrument with good and healthy posture to encourage comfortable playing.
In their second year, 7th-graders continue to deepen and build on their individual skills from last year and shift more of their focus toward Ensemble Skills as they begin to play music comprised of more independent and separate voices. Each lesson slowly builds the students ability in each stand of the learning outcomes.
